  • Silicone Molds

Manufacture of small series of 20-50 identical models can take advantage of silicone-mold casting of polyurethane.

    - The fundamental prerequisite for the production of a silicone mold is a perfectly finished master model

    - The master model is put into a mold and embedded in silicone

    - The mold is elastic and allows casting complex shapes

    - When the cast material is set, the silicone mold accurately reproducing the shape of the master is cut in half

    - Removing the master and putting the two halves together creates a cavity in which two-component polyurethane is cast under partial vacuum

    - After the polyurethane sets, the finished part is removed from the mold

    - A wide range of polyurethanes allows selecting the color (including clear parts) and strength properties of the finished product in advance
